Fra flaske nr. 6747) på Cardinaltreff aug-11: Mørk, mørk brun med tårnhøjt skum. Overbevisende aroma fra amerikanske humler (grapefrukt og nåletrær) pluss litt røstet malt. deilig sødmeanslag før humlebitterheten kjører på. Min første Abstrakt. Prøvde forleden AB:11, den er superb og har nå satt en AB:10 i kjelleren!

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Opaque pitch black color, small light brown head that diminishes almost instantly. Smell malts, dark and roasted malts, only lightly hops, a hint of coffee, a hint of chocolate. Taste malts, a lot of roastyness, chocolate, hops, medium bitter though at the same time a bit sweet alcohol. Nice! Medium to full body, medium carbonation.

Bottle @ home thx to benzai. Pitch black colour, little to no brown head. Smells chocolate, coffee, roasty, sweet, nice. Tastes dark chocolate, roasty, sweet, bitter, slightly hop, barley wine, pine and a tiny amount of liquorice and tar. Very deep and lasting taste. Full body, silky, soft carbo.

Bottle from bottle-shop.co.uk. Very dark brown colored beer with medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, pines, grapefruit, wood, ash. Sweet taste with plums, chocolate, caramel, roasted malt, pines, grapefruit, wood, hints of smoke. Long coffee, piney hops bitter finish. Very tasty beer, although really doesn’t fit into the style.

Bottle: Deep black coloured with a shy ruby sheen, big and lacy stable off-white head, deep and solid plummy-fruity and chocolatey nose with a tinge of roasty molasses; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, full bodied; increasing bitterness in the dry molassy-leathery finish. Not really bad...

Bottle shared at tasting. Pours black with a ring tan head. Aroma of caramel malts, grassy hops, tropical fruit and grapefruit. Flavour is medium sweet and bitter, good balance. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle shared with friends. Almost no head, Hoppy aroma. Clear dark black pour, Nice hoppy taste. Yummy!

Bottle. Pours a nice pitch black, with a finger thick head. Aroma is coffee, with good notes of tropical fruits, mango, peach and some honey. A full, oily body, with soft carbonation. Tremendous bitter hop flavour, with a fruity touch of orange peel, balanced by a backbone of solid malty notes of coffee, dark chocolate, caramel and syrup. Finishes of with a nice sweet burned, coffee bitterness.

Clear caramel to brown coloured beer, nice beige irregular head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: sweet caramel, lots of exotic fruits, pineapple, passion fruit, ripe mango, some honey, floral notes, bit sugary, little piny. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet fruity start, caramel, sugar, lots of ripe sweet fruits, lychee, mango, canned peaches, canned pineapple, citrus, little bitter, some mocha. Aftertaste: bit piny, bitter hops, some caramel, sugary, still very fruity.
