We all love a good I.P.A. so here we go with the black flag interpretation of the classic. Brewed with hops from all over the globe including; Cascade, Calypso and Ahtanum from America. Topaz from Australia and Motueka from New Zealand. This little beast of a brew is fruity as hell and a bit too easy to drink.

Can from Warwick Real Ale Shop, Warwick, consumed in a field at Fairports Annual Reunion Festival, Cropredy Friday 12th August 2016 Pours gold with a white frothy head blanket of bubbles. Ok this isn’t as good as the Stone Delicious IPA that preceded it, but it’s very good and very drinkable. Fruity and with a dry finish the four hops in here combine really well. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5 Had this previously at Cask at Craft 100, Clapham, Saturday, 25th March 2016 in the company of Lynn, Barry, Jaqui and Simon. Dark gold/Light amber in colour with a white rim of bubbles. Lovely lemony streakiness, dry finish. Quite a juicy beer. A6 A4 T8 P4 Ov14 3.6

Can. Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Palate starts smooth but the back end is stinging fine carbonation. Smooth malts, mildly sweet. Good grapefruit and orange hops. Peel bitterness. Smooth finish, long peel bitter linger. Nicely pitched, very drinkable.

Can at home in London - picked up at the Eebria taproom. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy white head. Somewhat biscuity pale malts in the nose, subdued citrus fruits, a little orange rind. Medium sweet flavor with pleasantly dry pale malts, tangerine, rindy orange, light flinty minerals, pine needles. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Very slight piney resin in the finish, some pithy tangerine, light rindy bitterness, pale bread, biscuit. A pretty tasty low-boost IPA overall. Could probably be a touch fresher, but it’s still enjoyable stuff.

Clean. Oranges. Good malt. No off-flavours. Some Punk Ipa influence but not bad

330ml can from John’s Beer & Wine, St Ives. Pours hazy amber with a hoppy aroma. Taste is rather nutty and malt-forward and not as citrussy or grapefruity as expected. Which is fine, but just not what I was in the mood for.

Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - papaya and orange pith. Taste - mango and papaya. Again a bitter citrus pith finish. Lime this time. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - possibly a bit too bitter for my palate but still good.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol, April 2014. Golden in colour with a decent, white, head. Plenty of tropical fruits, some creamy malts and a hoppy, dryish finish. Good.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2014. Amber lasting white head. Big grapefruit hop aroma. Big grapefruit hoppy ipa. It’s ok. After the initial hit it settles down into a pink grapefruit clean hoppy beer with some dryness on the finish.
