26th October 2015
Craft Tottenham Court Road. Cask. Clear reddish amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and slightly soft. Modest fine carbonation. Smooth malts with a light tangy sweetness, touch of caramel. Mellow skunky hops. Mild red berry fruits. Little marmalade. Light floral sweetness. The hop skunk returns before a light semi dry finish. Decent.

Cask at CBC CG - London. Pours clear copper-gold with a frothy off-white head. The nose has nicely toasted grains, a bit of leather and earth. Light sweet flavor with grainy bread, hints of coffee, burnt arable, mellow earthy bitterness, hints of orange rind. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Finishes with further toasted brown bread character, faint toffee, impressions of coffee. Outstanding.

Cask @ OT. Pours clear Amber with a fluffy bubbly goldenish offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving some sparse trace on the glass. Smell is tiny malty, herbal and floral with caramel, dark bread, honey, hay, moist green herbs, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is tiny sweet, bitter, slightly malty, herbal and floral. Mouthfeel is soft, flat, astringent and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with caramel, hay, grapefruit rinds, minerals and orange peal. Very harsh in the bitterness with nothing balancing it out. Fairly hard to drink.

4% Dark brown beer lasting off white head. Hoppy aroma. Some sweetish malt. Reminds me of a low powered American ipa. Interesting.

Cask at Craft Islington. It pours clear deep amber - brown with a decent beige head. A touch of red through it also. The nose is freshly baked goods, brown bread, pine, light caramel, touch of stewed orange, and peach. The taste is bitter - sweet, malt loaf, brown bread, jammy berry, piney action, varnish and some orange rind. Medium body and soft carbonation. Very drinkable. Decent stuff.

Cask (Akkurat, Stockholm) - Copper red in colour. Hoppy and fruity aroma with notes of pine, plums and raisins. Fruity, hoppy and slightly soapy taste with pine, plums, blackcurrant and caramel. Nicely balanced.
