At Billie's Bierkafetaria during the Fourpure tap takeover. English IPA intended as a West Coast IPA in collaboration with Bear Republic. Thick and creamy, frothy, dense, beaten egg-white head on a hazy pale orange blonde beer with olive greenish tinge. Aroma of grapefruit flesh, pine resin, dried mango peel, mandarin, bread crust, pink pepper, green olives, frying oil, dried peaches, starfruit. Subdued sweetishness in the onset with a light sourish edge, pineapple, persimmon and a touch of mango, fizzy carbonation, smooth body, oily; bread crust malt middle under a long, spicy, grapefruity and somewhat piney, peppery hop bitter finish. Full-blown West Coast hop character indeed, but remaining fairly soft and mellow for the style. In any case a very successful IPA in my book.

Keg at Inn Deep, Glasgow Thursday 18th June 2015 Pours hazy gold with a filmy head, quite thick in the mouth. Very much American in style, really rather sweet and lots of crystal malt I am guessing. A bit syrupy, but with a bitterness, pine noted. Quite good. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.4

Keg at the Earl Of Essex, 25/02/15. Clear golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is tangerine, creamy malt, sweet tunes, light floral elements, orange. Taste comprises pine needles, tangerine, mandarin, perfume, bitter citrics. Medium bodied, fine carboantion, semi drying close with a juicy hop wash. Decent enough IPA.
