Cask at Pilgrims Progress, Bedford. Dark gold, decent white head. Takes a while to clear and still exhibits some haziness. Earthy malty aroma, forest walks, along with something slightly eggy and almost fishy. Taste is awful: an overly malty base with an unpleasant umami like I’m drinking this out of a dog’s dish. Not for me.

Cask at the Willow Walk, 11/04/14, JDW Spring 2014 Fest Beer #23. Almost clear golden with a moderate off white swirl. Nose is pretty basic, bready pangs, light orange, biscuit, inoffensive yawndom. Taste comprises light malt notes, touch biscuit, toffee, mellow fruit, blandometer rising to amber. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close with a touch of bitterness. Dull from start to NOT finish!

Light sweet flavor, pretty bland, with of mild brown bread and faint leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; nice condition. Bland on the finish but not offensive.
