Award winning Mad Goose is a zesty pale ale with a refreshing citrus finish, inspired by our own fearsome feathered friend. Her hiss was far worse than her bite except around mating season when it was best to stay inside for another well earnt beer.

50cl bottle from M&S Camberley. An amber pour with a thick white head; orange citrus aroma; sharp citrus taste; and a citrus finish with a lingering vegetable bitterness. A straightforward citrusy golden ale.

Bottle from M&S Stratford and drunk at home. Hazy amber colour with a lasting white head. Good hoppy aroma. It then kinda gets a little bit too much caramel. Good hop and bitterness on the finish. It’s a little earthy. Sherbet hops are good though. Bit earthy.

Bottle. M&S. Gold, with a little haziness. Lasting, blotchy, white head. Toasty, cracker bread malts. Generous hoppage, in a golde kind of way. Notes of marmalade and citrus rind. Taste is initially sweet, getting light bitter. Decent body. Creamy and light. Soft, citric bitter finish. Nice one.

500 ml bottle. Unclear orange body with a fast disappearing off-white head. Quite light aroma of fruit and mild malt, pretty simple. Flavor is mild and plain as well, sweet pale malt, mild fruit in general, more harsh than bitter. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Plain, sweet and slightly harsh. Not very interesting.

500ml bottle from local shop. Clear amber colour, white foam head leaving some lacing, and aroma of bready malt, grains and some citrusy hop. Taste is malt and grain, with some tangy fruity floral hop and earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry earthy slightly metallic citrusy bitter finish. Quite OK.

Flaske 500ml fra Kjeller 5. Drukket på Rundvannet 29 Des 14. Gyldenbrun. Svakt uklar. Bra luftig skum som varer en stund. God fruktaroma. Søte plommer. Smaken litt tynn - men variert. Svakt syrlig frukt. Utmerket matøl.

500ml bottle bought at Kjeller 5. Pours a decent off-white head over a clear dark golden body. Lacing rings down the glass. Moderate aroma of earthy malts and ripe citrus. Malt-fruity taste of citrus and caramel malts. Bittersweet endnotes. Medium to thin bodied. Quite nice with session qualities (Shared with Elisabeth, Stefan and Jan Erik, Tårnrommet, Tromsø 15.12.2014).
