Shared 330 ml bottle, from Oddbins Chiswick. BB 12 / 2013. Orange colour, moderate white head. Strong hoppy and herbal aroma, also notes of slightly caramelized orange marmalade. Hoppy flavour, maybe not as fresh as desirable, but still fairly decent. Piney finish.

Flaske (bb 0813) på rbhdsamlinga feb-15: lukter friskt av tropiske frukter tross dårlig dato. Smaken tenderer mot appelsinmarmelade. Fin bitterhet i avslutningen.

Bottle from Oddbins, Bristol. Hazy amber, with a tight, off-white head. Aroma of warming alcohol, barley sugar, orange peel and greenish hops. Solid, bready malt flavours, with some lemon on top and a sweet finish. Something’s not quite right with this, the finish was slightly buttery.

25th August 2013
hazy amber beer with a little white head. Palate is smooth with a crisp minerally trailing edge. Light unsweet toffee malt, thin. Bitterish orange hops, tangy and with a twist of lemon. Vague tea flavour. Finishes semi dry. Imperial ESB? Decent!

Bottle thanks to Joes @ weekly tasting. Clear amber color, small beige head. Smell lightly malts, sweaty feet. Taste lightly malts, old hops, weird bitterness. Aroma is off, flavor is not good to say the least. Some kind of weird herbs or spices maybe? Or just oxidation? Light influence (skunky) maybe? No idea, but I don’t like it.

Bottle at home in London - sourced fro Oddbins London Bridge. Pours clear, dark gold, effervescent with a fairly large, frothy off-white head. Nose holds light bread, caramel, some cake, pine, leaves, oranges. Medium sweet flavor with a prominent bready malt character, some leafy and piney bitterness, a bit of rindy citrus. Medium bodied with fine, somewhat creamy carbonation. Reasonably well balanced to finish although there is a touch of astringency, some further bread, hints of ripe orange, more rindy bitterness. It’s OK.

33cl bottle from Oddbins, London Bridge. Clear mid brown colour lasting beige head. Sweetish malt aroma. Some grapefruit hop. Is that oxidisation? Needs more hops. Some bitterness on finish. Malts are just too sticky and too sweet and the hops don’t shine through enough.
