Keg at Craft 100. It pours lightly hazy gold with minimal head. The nose is earthy, funky, musty, gooseberry, grape, farmyard, dirt, tannins, grape must, vinous notes and just a touch of jam. The taste is bitter, musty, sour, lactic, earth, gooseberry, grape, good mouth-pucker, floral notes, wet leaf, damp wood, twig, barnyard and must with a dry finish. medium body and low carbonation. A rather interesting combination. Good.

Tap at WoSF, 2013. It pours hazy amber with small bubbly head. The nose is lightly bitter, earth, leaf, vinous, mild sweetness and salty notes. The taste is ice-team, caramel, raisin, light sugar, peach, tanginess, mouldy wood and some spice. Lightish body and low carbonation. Almost tastes like a faro! Decent balance and drinkability. Not bad.

Unclear deep golden color with a small bubbly head that soon vanish. Lots of green apples and wood. Medium body, quite flat carbonation and a pleasant balanced acidity. Rich green apples, wood, some vinegar and citric. Refreshing and nice lambic.

Craft 100 at Craft Clapham. Keg. Hazy gold beer, no head. Light and crispy palate, semi dry. Mild wet wood. Little citrus before lemony sourness kicks in. Turns slightly bitter. Trace of berry fruits before an airy finish. Interesting and drinkable.

On tap @ Kick. Slightly unclear golden body with practically no head, just a thin white film that disappears immediately. Classic funky Lambic aroma, horse blanket and fruity acid. Flavor is dry, acidic and fruity but there is also some kind of soft malt sweetness here. It’s a fine and relatively easy drinkable Lambic for the sour beer drinkers, still I’m convinced there is a good reason for blending Lambics. They tend to miss a lot of the complexity from a Geuze whatsoever. It’s sure nice to sample a few unblended once to know a little of what it is about, but the blended stuff is just more complex. Anyway this is one of the smoothest Lambics I have sampled.
