Plate is full bodied, frothy, bitter earthy roast finish. Some harsh alcohol on the nose.

Black color with tan head, medium retention. Aroma has toasted and roasted notes, coffee and licorice are highly present. Flavor is slightly sweet from the beginning to the end, ripe dark fruit, coffee taste with notes of black chocolate. Smooth, creamy and dense on palate. Enjoyable.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Paul and Dan. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy tan head. Palate is smooth, semi dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. Rich dark malts, a little cream. Good licorice. Tangy dark fruits. Alcohol spice. Bitter but smooth finish. Trace of brandy and chocolate in the aftertaste. Bitterish but tasty.

Bottle shared on the 42nd floor - big thanks to Paul-Daniel. Pours deep black brown with a creamy, mocha head. Interesting aroma, some perfume notes, light cocoa, dark fruits. Medium sweet flavor with strong alcohol boost, light coffee, more cocoa, earth, burnt wood, charred meat, raisins. Full bodied, creamy, with fine carbonation. Hot and boozy on the finish, with rich baking cocoa, more sturdy roast, scorched earth bitterness. Quite robust but still very drinkable.

Bottle shared at level 42. It pours black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich, salted liquorice, rich roasted malts, umami, maritime air and hint of marmite. The taste is rich roasted malt, umami, salted liquorice, ashy, warming alcohol, dark chocolate, seaside saltyness with a dry, roasted finish. Medium + body and fine, foamy carbonation. Drinks way below the abv. Nice balance and flavour.

Bottle at the Level 42 tasting, many thanks to Paulo/Danyell, 05/05/2016. Pitch black topped with a dirty tan swirl. Nose is light smoke, charr, dark chocolate, spice, toffee, earthy. Taste comprises rich malt, peppery spice, dark chocolate goop, hint of peat, charr. Full bodied, fine carbonation, rising alcohol in the close. Decent enough impy ... a little hot but never sweet.

33cl bottle. Pitch black pour with a very thin espresso head. Roasted malts, dark cherries and dark chocolate dominate this brew, with some subtle coffee flavors thrown into the mix. Very well balanced.
