Draft at the Houston airport. Dark brown with a creamy, beige head. Coffee aroma. Toffee. Something like toasted sourdough bread. Mildly sweet with a toasted bitterness at the end. Fairly simple in the end. Body stays light, texture is watery. Could use more heft.

Draft pour pint at BamBam, Houston IAH. A near black cola pour with an active white fizz head. Tons of coffee on this, and an extremely interesting flavor for sure. Creamy body, milk chocolate, light roast and very low bitterness, despite the coffee flavor being so present. A little on the sweet side, but it's not bothering me. Slight vanilla note. Somewhere between typical chocolate note in a porter, and a dessert beer. Overall, an enjoyable brew here.

Tap. Pours clear mahogany, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is loaded with coffee, astray, roasted malt, hints of tire tread, a bit of smoke, but mostly coffee. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter. Loads of coffee again, a bit of lactose. Medium body. Coffee does not feel super fresh.

Keg at the brewery. Nitro version. It pours jet black with thick, creamy light tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, rich coffee, chocolate and millionaires shortbread. The taste is smooth, creamy, roasted malt, toasty, a good dose of coffee throughout, cacao nibs,, light alcohol, earth and wood, with a dry coffee finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Uncomplicated. A solid coffee porter.
