Yuengling Dark Brewed Porter is an original specialty beer that has been brewed expressly for tavern owners and family trade since 1829. We are proud to be one of the largest Porter producers in the US. Our Porter calls for a generous portion of caramel and dark roasted malts, which deliver a rich, full-bodied flavor and creamy taste with slight tones of chocolate evident in every sip.

Old stubby bottle. Pours dark brown cola with a bubbly tan head. Kind of a dark caramel aroma. Medium body. Lots of chocolate character. Not too bitter, but enough to offset the malt. Not getting more than a hint of coffee. Decent but not destined for the top 10.

Dark brown with a tan head. Light molasses, light cocoa malts, with some coffee as well. It’s nothing remarkable but it’s still a real solid porter. I’d keep a couple bottles around on a regular basis if I had better access to it.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a glass. Pours black with dark brown highlights with a light brown head that dissapates fairly quickly. Taste is dark malt. Taste is pretty light and is smooth going down. Nothing complex here, but nice to drink.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a clear, dark ruby red color with a large tan head. Good retention and lacing. Faint aroma of chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is roasted malts, nuts, coffee and chocolate. Subtly tart. Thin-medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. Very drinkable.

The best Yuengling beer by far. Pours dark brown and has a thin tan head. Great aroma of dark chocolate, burnt sugar. Taste is slightly sweet but well balanced with a firm bitterness.
