Bien qu’elle soit peu onctueuse et plutôt brune pour une Milk Stout, je dois avouer que je l’ai trouvée bien bonne. Épices, noisettes, caramel, grains grillés, beau design alors rien d’autre à redire ;-)

Bottle - Sweet chocolate syrup. Jet brown black with a nice beige head. Dark sweet chocolate syrup. Although not very exciting, it is light and flavorful with a decent sweet and roasty finish.

Bottle @ home acquired via Secret Krampus. How’s this for a fucking rare tick? Pours a black appearance with a dark brown head. Very roasty nose with some milk sugar, dark chocolate, and a little bit of smoke. Moderate light body. Moderate plus sweetness. Dull bitterness. Milk chocolate flavor. Coconut and vanilla as well. Kind of thin. Alright.

On tap at the Ottawa Beerfest. A cola brown with red highlights and a thin beige head. Smokey aroma, malty, soft cocoa, milk chocolate. A good smoke beer...

Bottle: Poured a black color ale with a large foamy head with medium retention and light lacing. Aroma of light lactose and dry roasted malt is pleasant enough. Taste is also a good mix between some lactose notes with some light dry roasted malt with subtle black chocolate notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing to write home about but still better than your average offering from Beau’s.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a minimal head. Scents include coffee, smoke, roasted malt and a little caramel. First swig was medium bodied with flavours of roasted malts and smoke. Finish was a little sweet with lingering flavours of smoke and malt.

Aroma: Very discreet notes of coffee and chocolate, fading rapidly and leaving space for some sour smell. Appearance: Black with ruby glints, quite transparent. Average thickness head, average density, long lasting. Foam doesn’t stick and leaves no lacing. Taste: Attack shows smoke and ash notes with a dry finish. We can feel a little bit of caramel trying to develop but is rapidly rapped by smoke and ash accents that are taking a lot of space for a milk stout. Chocolate and coffee are not showing up much. Mouth feel is a little thin but acceptable. Sparkling is average and balance remains mostly with roasting and water. Deception
