0.65l bottle @ RBNAG11. Pours a clouded light reddish-orange body with as good as no head. The aroma has lots of sweet-caramel, some ripe melon, and sweet alcohol. Soft carbonation, with a slick and sticky mouthfeel. Caramel flavors, it's light sweet but is it oaty? Ends with some lovely warming alcohol and hints of dried fruits. A really good beer.

Shared bottle at RBNAG 2011 in Oslo. Bronze colour. I was getting slightly inebriated when this beer finally came up in the tasting, but had still the capacity to recognize the qualities of a fine barleywine. Well balanced and pleasant aroma and flavour, malty and sweet but not too extreme. Strong, but not too alcoholic - smooth to drink for its strength. Very good.

Bottle at Craft Beer Co tasting. It pours deep orange-amber, with a thin off-white head. The nose is gingerbread, spice, tangerine, orange, molasses and golden syrup. The taste is orange, mango, grapefruit, gingerbread, toffee, spice (cinnamon in particular), resin, wood, well hidden alcohol and toasted brown bread. Medium to full body, fine carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Great balance and very drinkable for the percentage.

Bottle at 1st CBC Sunday Tasting. Pours glowing amber with a medium, off-white head. Bit of candy and bread in the nose, some toffee and caramel, that kind of thing. Medium to big sweet flavor, nice toast, lots of toffee, subtle ripe fruits provide mild tang, some cake. Full bodied with average carbonation. Warm finish, caramel, sweet bread, toasted sugars. Excellent.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy bright orangey color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with different cereal notes (probably oat) then what I was expecting. Taste is dominated by loads of sweet caramelized notes offset by some cereal. Body is above average with good carbonation. Interesting though I am not sure I need to drink oat wine on a regular basis.

Hazy amber beer. Semi soft, semi dry palate. Turns softer. Grassy hops wiith an undertone of citrus sweetness. A minty bitterness and coolness rounds of a superior beer.

Würzig-hefiger Antrunk mit trockenen und milden Getreidenoten. Für eine Barley Wine ziemlich unspektakulär, die intensivsten Aromen sind die getreidgen. Leicht alkoholisch, fast mild herb. Zum Ende alkoholisch würziger, etwas langweilig da monoton. Ich habe mehr erwartet! 8/7/7/6/12/6
