Can from Beer52. Black with a swiftly vanishing tan head. Chocolare, coffee, treacle and porridge. A port-like berry note. Smooth and tasty, but just let down by a slight metallic note. Still decent though.

Pours near black with a big, frothy beige head, and an aroma of roasted malt, with sweet coffee and treacle/liquorice popping their heads in. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, with the taste being a lovely combination of rich roasted coffee and dry bitterness, the latter carrying on into the finish

[375ml can from Beer52.] A glossy black pour with a loose coffee coloured head; aroma of oats and bitter, well-roasted grains; thick and oily in the mouth with an overwhelming bitterness from the roast, then a touch of sweeter chocolate; before a finish that is both creamy and oaty, and dry and earthy. Really enjoyable.

375ml can from Beer52, drank at home on 23rd Jan 2021, my fourth beer in a random tasting session with myself; poured into a thistle shaped 'Gordon Finest Gold' glass. I love using this glass for dark beers. The body is very dark, black in fact, on top a tanned crust. Aroma and taste is coffee, chocolate and maltiness in general. Nice!
