Okay, interessant, beetje nep.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. 75cl bottle. Brown-colored with a foamy beige head. Sweet fruity yeasty aroma with a bit of spiciness. Sweetish flavor with yeast, caramel, fruits, spiciness and a drier alcoholic finish. Light to medium-bodied.

25cl brown bottle, with a snowy, wintery scene on the label, very pretty. Poured into a thisle shaped glass (Gordon Finest Gold). The beer is a deep, deep ruby red colour, the head tan. Lacing held onto the glass nicely. The smell is of roasted malts and liquorice roots, the taste too. Rich and almost creamy in the mouthfeel, the best beer from Leroy I’ve ever had (not difficult to be honest, we don’t seem to get on too well). Held up to the light it shows a clear, if dark body, with plenty of life in the glass, it also feels well carbonated. Belgian Christmas beers are always a joy to drink, this one slots into that bracket well.
