Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes fo malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of mlat and caramel, leading to a dry and lightly bitter finish. The body is light.

On tap at the Alibi Room - pours black with little head. Aroma is extremely chocolatey. Flavour is rich, dark chocolate with little else - palate is a little thin, though the flavour is quite pronounced. Very good.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a hazy dark brown with a reddish hue and a creamy beige head. Sweet chocolate aroma. Medium body with sweet accents of cocoa and some hard roasted malt and vanilla. No bitterness at all. 290509

2010-03-16, draught at Amberjack Tap House, Surrey, BC, 5-3-5-2-10=25
Black color; beige creamy head. Aroma of cheap chocolate (I had enough good chocolate in Italy-Switzerland-France to tell). Weak mouthfeel, almost watery (mainly in the final), with mild cheap chocolate flavor and a touch of vanilla. Short final. Not interesting.

2009-05-29, bottle, blind tasting at Papsø’s, 5-3-5-2-9=24
Very dark mahogany color, almost black, with medium head. It has a fake vanilla-chocolate aroma. Weak mouthfeel, roasted malt and artificial vanilla, cookies. Very bad.

From bottle, blind #35. Pours dark brown to black with a slowly collapsing tan head. Dense vanilla and chocolate aroma. Thin bodied. Light chocolate and roasted malt flavoured. Light sweetend too. Medium dry and slight artificial vanilla finish.

Thanks to Skyview for this one. Low carbonation. A little sour. Chocolate, some hops, and very light tea. Generally I find porters boring. This one has something to offer.

A dark porter with a thick big bubbled moka head, receeding quickly. A nice moka chocolate aroma with notes of vanilla. In mouth, loads of chocolate, like Nestle Quick, sustained. Overall, a bit thinner than expected. Bieropholie Import.

This porter poured a black colour with a thick brown creamy head. To the nose there was coffee, cocoa, roasted malts and a nutty scent. First taste was smooth and creamy with immediate cocoa flavour. Slightly watery mouthfeel but with lingering coffee / roasted malt flavour. Very smooth and flavourful. Palate was roasted coffee flavour that lasted...

This beer, it is dark and all. But head there is not, Smells like Count Chocula and dark chocolate. So not too bad if you know what I mean, which you very well might not. But who cares... eh. It tastes like dark chocolate. It tastes a little like coffee as well (I mean I was gonna say espresso, but who really knows what espresso tastes like... that’s right, nobody actually does... what objective method do we have to measure espresso taste... afterall some espresso tastes worse than a morman coffee.) Wow that was a rant. The beer itself is pretty light bodied actually. Good stuff. Quite drinkable. Would do it again. Eh up!
