Keg at BD Clerko, 08/04/16. Black with a decent tan swirl. Nose is chocolate mint ice cream, light spice, dark malt, biscuit. Taste comprises rich roast, liquorice, spice, after eight mints, touch of berry fruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light peppery spice and a wafer thin mint infuse at the curtain call. Decent for the genre.

On tap at BrewDog Clerkenwell. Black beer lasting tan head. Big heavy stout aroma with mint no doubt. Its a little watery. Some dark burnt malt chocolate a little mint yes chocolate mint flavour some roast and burnt malt as well. A minty roast stout. Hmmm. Ok. Wouldn’t order it again but no faults.

Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Café, Halifax. Black with a thin off-white head. Has crisp stated roasted malts with a small mint infusion. It’s not too near the ’After Eight’ confectionery it attains to be but is interesting all the same.

Draft at the brewery taproom. Pours deep black-brown with a slight, creamy tan head. Well toasted malts in the nose, notes of cocoa, faint mint. Medium sweet flavor with some ashy roast, bittersweet chocolate, scorched earth, only mild mint accents. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly sticky on the finish, more cocoa, ashy roast, earth, dark dried berries, plum. Hearty. Good stuff.

Keg at the brewery. Opaque black coloured pour a a fading halo of mid tan head. Aroma is bitter black Malta, molasses, burnt toffee. Flavour is full sticky sweet nutty brown malts, treacle. Some got alcohol. Palate is oily medium sweet, bit flabby, moderate carbonation. Not a huge fan.

Keg at the brewery. It pours black with a small light tan head. The nose is bitter - sweet, creamy, chocolate, big mint, after eight vibe, coffee grounds and decent roast. The taste is bitter-sweet, earthy roast, toast, milk chocolate, slight graininess, coffee grounds, mild astringency, oily, creaminess and light menthol vibe with a dry, toasted finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well - realised. Not too sweet thankfully. Solid.
