Draught at the Yardhouse, Las Vegas
Amber color. It has a very light caramel aroma and light caramel flavor, the body is quite thin, correct bitterness. Too simple.

Draft. Rich amber color with a nice cream-colored head. Low malty, nutty aroma. Nice malt, light nutty, cocoa, light roast, slight grassy flavor. Medium bodied. Lingering rich malts with grass and a bit of lemony citrus.

Draft at Yard House, Pasadena. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of caramel as well as light notes of fruit and bread. Quite nice.

12 oz bottle, from "Steinhaus Brewing, New Ulm, MN. 100th rating for this beer. Maybe there are two brewers doing the same recipe for Trader Joe’s? Decent Amber color under a thick off-white head. Nice malt smell with no off notes. Taste is basic standard amber. Not a noticeable hop to balance the malt, giving it a slight touch of saccharine, or perhaps some corn hidden away. A bit of bitter aftertaste, maybe suggesting Cascades. Okay beer. Label looks slapped together with Dover clip art.

Draught at the brewpub. Nut brown, small head. Fruity strawberry aroma, Medium sweet and medium bodied. Lightly roasty with some surprising estery flavour of tropical fruits. Medium bitterness. Not what I expected, but I like it.

Steinhaus Jumping Cow Amber(they brew for Trader Joe’s) (MN)-12oz bottle-pours a fizzy white head and copper color. Aroma is musty, medium malt-caramel, corn? Taste is macro lagerish, medium malt-caramel, artificial sweetener, secondary flat (English) hops or am I giving them too much credit for the hops and its just cardboardy along with some sourness. Less than desirable aftertaste. OK carbonation. Firestone Walker does this.

A very respectable beer available for very cheap from Trader Joe’s. Nice amber color with a pleasent and inviting aroma. The hoppy taste is definately there and the beer goes down smooth, but definately makes itself known on the way down. A quality beer, standard as it is. I don’t have any real complaints.

Slightly cloudy amber/copper coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of pale malt, cardboard, some old hops and some sugars. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavour with caramel and toffee at the front of the tastes. Fades off well into a suprisingly present taste. Aftertaste shows some quality, a decent flavour. Overall, a decent amber for the price, and even though its available at Trader’s, its not a bad beer. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased by jon[r888710] at Trader Joe’s in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia on 14-November-2004 with him.

Says from Steinhaus Brewery in New Ulm, MN. Weird. anyways 2004 bottle. Pours a nice robust copper-orange. Clear and filtered. Big light straw colored head. Smells lightly of wet barley and maybe a hint of hops. Begins with a medium-full flavor that is wet, surprisingly flavorful and mostly malty (honey, buttered bread). Mouthfeel is fairly creamy with some dryness coming from the barley and hops. Hops add a good level of spiciness. The flavors won't knock your socks off, but they are all detectable and in a good balance. A great session ale and awesome for the price.
