A hoppy amber ale, brewed with a complex mash of Marris Otter pale malt, Rye, Caramalt and Wheat.
A shed-load of American hops provide a delightful marmalade / citrus bitterness, well balanced by the sweetness of the malt, whilst delivering a charcteristic peppery Rye flavour

Cask at Cloisters, Edinburgh. Clear amber colour, foam white head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of rye, citrusy hop. Taste is earthy spicey rye with some fruity grapefruit hoppy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Cask at The Hanging Bat. Clean golden body with a thin white head. No visible carbonation. Nice lacing. Musty aroma of biscuit and bread with a hint of grapefruit. Flavour is dry and biscuity with a weird soapiness. A rather odd combination of flavours. Thin body with a flat, very oily texture. An unusual beer - not one of Buxton’s finest.

Light haze on this amber beer. Good off white head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with a mild carbonated sting. Mild orangey hops, fresh but pithy. Mild rye spice. Mild minerals and marmalade bitterness. Not bad.

Cask at The Jolly Butchers. Stoke Newington. Got some bark and forest moss on first sip. Essence is dust, cobwebs and cigar but evens out to a vaguely pleasant malty taste. I felt like I should be smoking a pipe with this.

Bottle at the De Molen July 2nd Tuesday tasting. Poured a hazy light amber with a thin white head. The aroma is wheat and yeast leaving to a medium bitter, hoppy yeast flavour with a long liquorice finish.
