Heller, süßlich herber Beginn, weich, durch die leichte Herbe erfrischend und ausgewogen, wenn auch geschmacklich eher laff. Ansteigende Herbe, minimal nach Getreide, zum Ende bitter mit pappigem Einschlag. 9/8/10/8/9/8

Bottle: Poured a golden with white head. Aroma grain and soggy boxes. Taste is a little better than the smell, mainly grain.

330ml bottle. Pours clear gold, small white head. Aroma seems corn and chlorine-lead. Taste is fairly sweet, corn-syrup, cardboard.. a little sticky, lacks a nice crisp edge. Like all of these obscure island lagers, I imagine it would be more quenching on a sunny beach than rainy England.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pale golden colour, white foam head and malty grainy aroma. Taste is malt, corn grain, sweetish, with earthy grassy bitterness. Light bodied, high carbonation, semi-dry grassy bitter finish. Another bland pale lager, kind of OK cold.

Gift from a mate. His wife has since revealed to me thatvthe two bottles were from their complementary mini bar. Whilst there is some.of that saccharine chemical sweetness I'd associate with a pale lager, there is also some bitterness and malts. Light gold. Frothy translucent white head. Quite crisp. Light bitter. But there is a sickly sweet undertow. Being served straight out of the fridge helps mask it. Medium bodied. Slick. Fizzy, if restrained, carbonation. As far as pale lagers go I don't mind it but it's still just another pale lager.
