Very nice dry roast Aroma, some solid coffee notes and hints if vanilla. Good mouth feel, slightly oily, a little viscous, soft carb. The finish is medium bitter with some cocoa powder, and a dry, woody, roasty finish with hints of soy.

Bon produit!

Chocolate and cocoa. Deep dark brown with a decent light brown head. Cocoa and dark malty bitterness. Roasty and bitter as it should be.

Dark brown, thick head. On the nose, it has a chocolate, roasty sort of nose. Thin, and a bit of cocoa, and a lot of bitterness.

500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, with a touch of cocoa, and some faint earthy notes. Flavour is quite hearty, with roasted malt, bitter cocoa, and hearty oats. Bitter cocoa, hearty roasty finish. Very good.

Pours a dark brown colour, with deeper beige coloured head, very long lasting with big patchy thick foam-cream lacing. Aromas of roasted malts, alcohol, with notes of dark fruits, molasses and coffee. The taste is showing more of the roasted malts with coffee and some bitterness in the finish. A warming and dry mouthfeel. Nothing too complex, but if you like a bitter, dry Imperial Stout, this could be for you.

Aroma: Chocolate with a touch of smoke and notes of burnt caramel and field berries. Nose is sticking out well and offers a pretty wide palette of aromas. Visual: Black, opaque, with a very thick, creamy, unctuous café-creme head, lasting several minutes. Average lacing though. Taste: Black chocolate attack with burnt caramel notes and little field berries. Also with bitter coffee notes. A long finish of roasted bitterness; very intense. Sweet notes should have been elaborated more although we can find a bit of molasses at a higher temperature. A good imperial stout, balanced, but missing a bit of sweet flavors. I would have appreciated more explosive flavors.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a rather large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with nice black chocolate undertones is quite enticing. Taste is a good mix between some lightly dry roasted malt notes with some creamy and semi-sweet black chocolate notes. Body is about average with somewhat of a creamy texture and good carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Not as powerful as most example of the style but rich chocolate flavours have won me over.

Bouteille 500ml.
