Pretty good beer, more pastry and cinammon than expected. Far from a classical. I wouldn’t buy againdue its strong artifical spice. Beertemple ams

Tap at ChurchKey, Washington DC, 6th March 23. Pours a deep black beast. Aroma is coffee and light spices, chocolate. Taste is super soft and smooth, coffee, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate, maybe a hint of chilli. Soft and smooth close and mild Linger

Black with a medium sized foamy brown head that left good lacing. Malty with coconut, cinnamon and vanilla. Long finish. Full bodied.

Bottle share. 2020. I'm just getting the last dregs, but damn of I'm gonna pass this one up. Cocoa and cinnamon is foremost in the nose. Solid oily black in the bottom of the glass. Cocoa, chili and common playing very nicely together here. I've finished my tiny pour all too soon, but will be watching for more.

0.75l bottle I guess, Garching Xmas tasting. Murky dark brown, blackish body, off-white head. Strong aroma, chili-cinnamon mostly, some vanilla, strong alcohol presence, light roast, creamy, bit buttery even. Lean, dry taste, chocolate-cinnamon, light vanilla, solid heat. Tasty, well balanced, warming. Great stuff, but lost to the The Garden Mexican Imperial Stout IMO tonight.

Bottle courtesy of Stefan, tasted with the München Ratebeer Group Christmas Tasting Friday 2nd December 2022. Shark eye black with a filmy light beige head, thickness in the mouth, nice heat, super dark chocolate, this is great, really great, lovely warmth.

Bottle at Christmas Tasting. Darkest black, very little head. Nose of cinnamon and cacao. Nice roasted malt notes and brown sugar. Very good balance, really smooth without any overly sweet pastry feel. Great bitterness providing that balance, earthy forest hop character. A bit of chili flavor but no spiciness according to my taste buds.

Bottle. Very dark. Chocolate leather, tonka. Very tonka vanilla chocolate. Very sweet. A bit of a warm heat in the back, which makes the sweetness bearable. Trying to like it, but it iiis sticky.
