Tap at GIST, Brussel. Brabantiae box pickup trip. After an intermezzo at Mr. Falafel. Clear golden with white head. Sweet malts, rye, creamy grainy, resiny, orange peels, dank weed. Moderate sweet and bitter. Over medium body and soft carbonation.

Towering just off-white head leaving textbook lace over clear orangey-coppery beer. Milk-y nose, sour-ish and asafoetida, citruspeel, grapefruit, and yet some malthints. Bitterish, faintly caramel, asafoetida and fruity nose. Bitterish dry herbs, bit dusty, peppery, laurel. Slick, not very well-bodied, well-carbonated. Belgian IPA - what does that mean? If it means IPA made in Belgium, no problemo. If it designates a "style", b*ll*cks! In this case, it's a quite well-made classical IPA. From Valduc-Thor, and not brewed à La Source , as is mentioned outright on the label.

Pours unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is mild, yellow fruits, mild orange. Grassy. Taste is full, intense, malty. Tad bitter, yeasty ( BE style) , tad sweet. Malty ( white bread) , mild hoppy finish.

Bottle @ Xmas market, Ixelles.

33cl can filled (13.12.2019) at La Source as take away (BBF: 23/12/2019). F: big, creamy, good retention. C: deep gold, almost clear. A: fresh orange, grapefruits, pine resin, tropical fruits, bit caramel and toasted tones. T: medium malty base, orange, pine resin, mellow tropical fruits, decent long lasting bitterness, soft carbonation, nice fresh fruity, good balanced for the style, fully enjoyed.

Tap at the brewery opening. Surprisingly less attenuated than some other of their beers which do not even claim to be dry - which IPA should be IMO. Definitely moderate body, med-high carbonation. Malt in ths background character-wise, mostly citrusy resiny exotic. Quite good.

Tap. Gist, Brussels. Yellow gold. Light haze. Decent white foam. Nose has creamy grain. Candied peel. Ripe sweet lemon. Some lavender like soap. Taste is less sweet than the aroma would suggest. Decent citrus here. Light to medium body. Fine, crisp carbonation. Fairly short, bitter finish. Ok IPA.

Draught @ GIST, Brussels. Smooth, yeasty and earthy with hints of hops, grass, apricots and oranges. Decent.

(Bottle, Nuetnigenough, Brussels, 20 Oct 2018) Pale amber colour with brief, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, resin and grainy malt. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of caramel, apricots, citrus, mandarin and a balanced citric bitterness. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and well balanced IPA. Nice one.

27 April 2019. At Zythos Bierfestival. Deputy Taster: Anke. Cheers to Ama Deke, Erwin, John & Meeki! Clear yellow, lasting, very thin, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit peel, lime juice, mango, mandarin, apple peel, unripe pear. Taste is light fruity sweet, ‘classic’ apple & pear, some pineapple, a bit bready, yeasty & lemony sour, hoppy bitterness hinting at mandarin peel & grapefruit juice, returning in the dryish, floral hoppy finish, more mellow fruit & lime there. Medium body, slick-oily texture, soft carbonation. Aromatics of a classic IPA are there but in the end it feels a bit unfinished.
