Bottle from the lcbo. Slightly hazy golden pour with a large white head. Grassy, lots of earthy vinous notes. Soft grape, stone fruit and fresh pear. Bright mouth feel, lively carb. Medium bitterness, fruity, pungent, vinous with a touch of tartness. Soft cereals, bready, stone fruit, grass. Complex and very drinkable.

Pours hazy gold with a lasting white head and nice lacing. The aroma is of Belgian yeast, grapes, and malt. The flavor is sweet up front with grapes, malt, clove, and spicy yeast leading into a dry finish. It has a medium body with a lively palate. This is excellent. Everything is balanced nearly perfectly. Delicious.

Nice stuff. Florals. Coriander and lemon. Golden pours with good head. Light sweet and tangy end. Some grape vibe but light. Very nice drinking. Bottle.

Aromas of white grapes and spices with hints of pepper and cloves. Esters with pear and apple accents are also detected. The liquid is crystal clear and strongly effervescent. The foam is quite abundant, tenacious and rocky. Taste is pungent and warm, highly peppery with fruity accents where the grapes express themselves thoroughly. The characteristic Belgian yeast is here superbly highlighted. The spices are strong, the fruity is well integrated. The malts are sober but reflect light shades of honeyed cereal. Alcohol and spices combine to give a subtly bitter finish. Its body is moderately light and its carbonation extreme. The alcohol heat is detectable and well integrated. Rarely have I seen a Belgian beer of this quality reproduced in North America.

I like Ommegang. Unsurprisingly, considering their ownership, they do Belgian styles well. However, their GOT series have been hit or miss. This one pours a foggy dark golden, sweet grassy malt nose, with a little grapes. Fairly stark (meant that one) malt and vinous base that has the malty hay sweetness, overlayed by a stern dry mineral wine flavour. Worth the try, not stellar.

750ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves curtains of lace. Aroma of pale malt, Belgian yeast, banana, clove and white wine. Sweet fruity flavour of pale malt, Belgian yeast, apricot, green grape, pear, orange, green apple and clove in a dry, boozy, white wine finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. Tasty, nice complexity.

75cl bottle via trade, thanks Arturo. No BB.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt notes with some sweet grapes notes is quite enticing. Taste is a nice mix of sweet grapes notes mix with some sweet Belgian malt with nice bready yeast notes. Body is about average with great carbonation. Another solid beer form Ommegang with great mix of flavours and proper attenuation.

Pours slightly hazed gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes to hug rim. Dusty grape must aromas. Crisp with sour grape, hay and apple upfront turning to dry dusty grape skin in the lasting finish.
