Bottle. Color: Black, thin brown head. Aroma: A lot of peat, even more peat and light hints of roasted malt. Taste: Moderate to medium sweet and bitter, roasted / burnt malt, a lot of peat, smoky hints, ash. Notes of liquorice, bitter cocoa, hints of coffee, bit boozy. Only little hints of the used figs. Soft carbonation, over medium body. Very peaty finish, bittery palate. Bit unbalanced, the taste of peat and ash is overwhelming all other tastes. As lover of peated beer I think this beer is very drinkable, but no topper. If you don't like peated beers... Beware!

Thank you for sharing tderoeck & Rubin77. 330 ml. bottle sampled @ LIBF 2017. Black, almost no head. Nose is peated soy sauce, burned, ashes. Taste is soy sauce, ash tray, burned, ash tray peated. Ash tray & peat syrup. Too much of these, no balance. Figs are totally lost for me.

Taste: soft roast, sugary, caramel, roasted, lots and lots of peat, unpleasant bitterness. Aftertaste: very roasted, camp fire, more peat, lots of alcohol, little bitter, overripe melons.
