Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol October 2016. Deep gold in colour with a moderately sized, off-white, head. Aroma of citrus fruits, yeasty malts and leafy. Flavour had tangerine and lemon fruit, sweetish malts and a hint of sherbet leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Cask @ JDW Montgomery’s Tower, Shrewsbury. Pours gold with small white head. Aroma is fresh, fruity, hoppy. Taste continues with fresh fruity citrus nestled alongside its pale malt base. Nice.

Cask at the Queen Hotel (JDW), Aldershot. Amber with a thin white head that laces the glass nicely; sweet orange juice aroma; sweet orange taste with a sour grainy body; and a sweet biscuity finish with some orange citrus zest. Lacking any real bitterness.

Playhouse Spoons. Gravicask off the rear counter! Hazy gold beer, patchy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry, modest fine carbonation. Light malts. Tangy dried fruits. Some orange and apple. Mild floral. Dry finish. Mild bitter linger. A bit wonky.

Cask at Canary Wharf Spoons. It pours clear golden - amber with a medium white head. The aroma is floral, hay, biscuit and stone fruits. The taste is pretty sweet and granny upfront, biscuit, floral, spice, lemon peel, with a bitter - sweet finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet overall. A fair golden ale, but it wouldn’t stand out in a crowd.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW - London. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. The nose holds dry pale bread, light hay. Light sweet flavour with simple pale, bready malt character, touches of lemon rind. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty well balanced to finish, with more citrus rind, pale bread, some grainy biscuits and hay. Not bad.

On cask up the White Lady. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - citrus and tomato plant. Taste - tonnes of citrus and resin. Palate - light bodied with a creamy yet oily texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yeah quite nice.
