(Cask at Craft Beer Covent Garden, London, 21 April 2016) Golden colour with foamy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit and a touch of honey. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, lemon peel, grapefruit, tropical fruit, biscuity malt and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and tasty, with a good, zesty hop presence. Nice one.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 24th April 2016. Slightly hazy gold with shallow off-white full lacing. Intensely citric with zesty bitter orange peel in aroma and liquid pass. Tangerine kick. Bitter orange finish with nutty maltiness. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body.

Cask at See Bee See Gilesbron, 13/04/16. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is straw, lemon rind, light tangerine shreds, bready notes. Taste comprises orange peel, bread dough, straw, faint lime, grain, toasty notes, lemon drizzle. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close with a light hop bitterness. Ok golde but sub par for Salopian in terms of my usual enjoyment level from them.

Cask @ The Salopian Bar, Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold, small white head. Aroma is limey citrus. Taste is grapefruit and lightly sweet pale malt with a tingling bitterness. Perhaps more crisp and less smooth and fruity than previous seasonals, but still a great thirstquencher.

Cask half-pint in The Station, Oakengates Shropshire on 17th March 2016. Very pale golden body, clean and clear: the head a head snow white affair that gave some impressive lacing. Tropical and citrus fruits in both the aroma and taste with grapefruit flavours dominating for me, there was also a semi-sweetness in the background which I enjoyed. One of the better ’citrus flavoured golden beers’ that are swamping the UK market currently.
