Bottle 0.5l. Clear, brown tea-like colour, beige head, great lacing. There are melanoidin, brown sugar, caramel, bready, toasty notes on the nose and very subtle note of oak behind. Malty with caramel-like, melanoidin, bread notes in taste with bitter finish and small booze which is noticeable on the tongue but does not disturb and gets nice feelings. Beer is full body, smooth, a little sticky in the mouth with very nice, delicate, oily consistency and great balance. Really good in english style barley wine for loong tasting.

Bottle. Clear deep red with a fine beige head that lasts and laces well. Aroma of toffee, dried fruit, fruit cake spices, oak. Oily, full bodied. Very sweet with strong bitterness at the end. Loads of dried fruit, less plain toffee than expected, floaty citrus (lime?) that’s surprisingly clear above the malt. Initially thought the bitterness was a bit much (at least for now) but it sits back after a time. It’s obviously strong but there is little overt alcohol. I really like that the oak is present and mildly drying but not overbearing. Not contrived or over-complicated with extraneous ingredients. Very good.

Bottle shared at Chris & Ruth´s House. A clear reddish brown beer with a small most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of dark riped/dried fruits, wood, plums, raisins, wood. Taste of much toffee, vanilla, dried fruits, wood, really nice!
