Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Hazed bright orange / light amber coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is berry, fruity esters, grainy and light caramel. Flavour is composed of tangy berry fruits, candied orang, caramel and light citric acid. Warming alcohol in the finish. Palate is sweet , tangy sweet fruits, full bodied. Some grain tanin.

Bottle shared at chriso’s May 2014 tasting - London. Pours lightly hazy orange-gold with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds ripe orange, tangy pale wood, light spices. Medium sweet flavor, lightly bitter, with some apples, caramel, golden raisins and grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Tangy wood on the finish, some further apple notes, tannic fruit skins. So so.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Very hazy amber beer, bubbly white head. Palate is light and dry, mild fine carbonation. Orangey dried fruits, bitterish caramel malts. Finishes light and dry. Mild bitter linger. Twangy and not rich enough but okay.

Bottle @ Chriso May 14 tasting. Pours hazy amber with sweet fruity aroma. Has potential but taste falls a bit flat and the earthy sweet flavours don’t quite make it through. Disappointing.

Chriso May 2014 tasting. Hazy amber lasting white head. Not a great aroma. Some weird fruit flavours in the mouth. Sweet crystalline fruit. Tangy.

Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy, copper colour. No head. Barley sugar. Red fruit. Soft toffee. A hint of minty, herbiness. Taste is cough syrup sweet. Herbal dryness. Lots of taste. And then I had a glass with some Stichelton cheese. At which point the beer came alive. A bit clunky on its own. A blinder with the right snap.

Keg at IMBC 2013. It pours hazy deep amber with a small white head. The nose is wood, caramel, toffee, raisin, dough, toast, brown sugar and honey. The taste is wood, earth, caramel, toffee, dried fruit, raisin, citrus peel and mild astringency with a dry, bitter finish. Thinner than it should be really. Watery and ultimately a bit underwhelming.
