2/III/18 - 33cl bottle from a trade @ home (2018-218) Thanks to Bierridder_S for the trade!
Clear dark brown to black beer, big solid creamy irregular brown head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of roasted malts, mocha, coffee, dark chocolate, bit fruity, some peach flavoured candy, some sweet grains, very nice! MF: ok carbon, full body, creamy texture, very nice! Taste: sweet start, mocha, caramel, molasses, lots of chocolate, bit sugary, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: lots of chocolate, very nice, soft roast, bit sweet, super rich and velvety, with "only" 7.6%, love it!!

Bouteille 33cl, BB 01/08/2019.

Pours very dark brown, nearly black. Small, medium low stability, creamy mocha head. Smell is roasted, rye, bit burnt, mild roasty bitterness. Taste is intensely roasty, mild rye, sharp burnt flavors, inhencing the perception of dark chocolate and pure coffee. Medium thick mf, medium to medium high carbo. Mild roasty bitterness. Decent.

Keg at Anspach & Hobday. It pours opaque jet black with a small tan head. The aroma is toasty, roasted malt, umami, cocoa, plain chocolate, toffee and toasted nut. The taste is dry, bitter, charred wood, rich roasted malt, umami, salted liquorice, cocoa, peppery spice, ash, tar, tannin and a touch of booze with a dry, roasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Thanks to Bierridder_S & Stijn B.! Sampled draft @ BBP Anniversary Festival 2017. Black with a tanned head. Nose is coffee, caramel, sweet herbal, coffee roast is low, some bitter plants, sweet & bitter are well balanced & it is neither really. Taste is interesting plastic a bit upfront, sweet caramel, cacao, chocolate, sugar, interesting sweet coffee, bit sweet, bit dry, chocolate, very drinkable, thick but not too thick, finish is dry. Interesting combo of many elements, drinks quite well. Very neat.
