4-pack Collection Hiver, lot: 05. Lightly hazed, golden-amber with a slight off-white frothy head that stays a while and leaves some good foamy lacing. Beautiful, fresh berry aromas over the Belgian Tripel yeast, giving some mild spices (even pepper with time), and notes of honey do come out eventually. The apricots do lingers on the tongue. Flavours of cereal-spicy base Tripel with that touch of Sauvignon adding that raisin-wine feel. A tad sourness even comes out here. An interesting Tripel with lots going on, but all working well together.

Bottle: Poured a hazy bright yellow color ale with a large size white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of Brett notes with some tart notes as well as some vinous notes that are also noticeable. Taste is a mix of Brett notes with some light sweet malt with some vinous notes and some light oak flavours with tart finish. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Enjoyable beer but the Sauvignon barrel notes have pushed this beer into sour country more than Tripel.

On tap at Circus. It's a hazy orange colored beer with a good off-white head leaving nice lacing. Fruity aroma with orange, white wine, some pale malts and bread, and a faint sting of alcohol. Some oak too, both in aroma and flavor. White sugar, a touch of bitterness, some alcohol warmth and flavors of generic fruityness, pale malts and orange. Grass hints and some bread and a light fruity sourness. Quite vinous. Full body and a smooth carbonation. Lasting fruity finish. A bit this one, perhaps best with dessert, but it’s delicious on its own too. 171020
