Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fruity with moderately strong grape notes with some tannins from the skins. Light oak notes. Hints of citrus as well as some light berry and cassis notes. Light caramel and raisin notes from the malt. Pours a slightly hazy, deep, dark amber red with a medium large, thick, slightly pink head that slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers for just a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor is somewhat acidic with a slight citrus note. Light malt notes expressed as caramel and raisin. Light oak and oak tannins. Moderately strong red wine grape notes with some moderate grape tannins. A touch of berry and cassis character. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright beer with a lot of Zinfandel grape notes. Quite a bit of tannins though. Not bad, just very grapey. Some light character from the base beer in the form of berries, cassis, caramel and raisin.

750 ml bottle from the brewery, my last bottle left from my trip there a month and a half ago. Aroma is amazing and constantly changing--I’m getting (in order of appearance) Sour Patch Kids, raspberries (flesh and seeds), cherries, grapes, balsamic, vanilla, light wood influence, almonds. It almost reminds me of Duchesse with that overripe dark fruit character, but it’s definitely a New World spin on that. Pours clear ruby red with a purplish-white head that falls pretty quick into a ring. Taste is sour (7/10), dry, cherry pits, not as good as the aroma let on, but still pretty tasty. Carbonation is champagne-level and I wish it was a bit lower. Overall, though, nice work.

Bottle: Poured a reddish color ale with a good size foamy head. Aroma of vinous notes with some art notes and a light cherry flavours also noticeable. Taste is a mix of vinous notes with light grape and residuals sugar notes with some cherry and oak flavours with some tart notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Flavours are very well balances and I loved how the grapes notes offset some of the more sour flavours.

Bottle at Saraveza Farmhouse Festival, pours a murky purple-ish link with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out loads of blueberries upfront, with light tartness and oak. Flavour is very dry and fruity, with lots of blueberries and oak. Complex, dry and oaky. Excellent.
