Clear copper pour, medium white head. Aroma is spicy, and piney, with some nice grains. A tad too sweet, but pleasant. The body is good, and the carb is fine. The finish is lightly bitter, with some really nice pine resin... Surprisingly good.

A golden lager with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, nice crisp biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy resinous hops, light cereals, pleasant. Can from Iga, downtown Montréal.

Deep copper and light amber coloured body with a nice three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh hops, some light caramel, a bit of toffee and nuts along with a big earthy maltiness. Medium-bodied; Strong hop flavour that isn’t really fresh, but shows some English and German hoppy elements coupled with a larger malt backbone, a hint of alcohol and a definite earthiness. Aftertaste shows some hoppy bitterness, a bit of grass and herbs and a more pungent malt finish. Overall, a relatively decent beer with some assertive hoppy flavours, but the malt is larger in this one and shows a bit of metallic and earthy notes near the end, but all-in-all, a beer worth trying if you can find it and want the convenience of a can! I sampled this 473 mL can purchased from the IGA Grocery Store at Rue Berri (Berri-UQAM Station) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on 17-September-2016 for CA$2,49 sampled a few minutes later in the park close-by in Montreal on 17-September-2016.

First beer back home: Belle Gueule Houblon 6.2% A deep orange color with a thick beige head that vanishes fast. Floral and piney hops with a sweet maltiness. The taste is very bitter pine, sweet malts and ash. A hoppy lager made with five hops though I'd say they'd have done better keeping it simple. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This one poured a medium/dark amber colour with an off white, foamy head. Scents include grass/citrus hops, light caramel and dough. First swig was quite bitter with hop flavour and an almost hand sanitizer finish. Citrus and light malt. Lime citrus palate that's quite bitter.

Bottle: Poured alight amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of floral hops is enjoyable thought not that powerful. Taste is also dominated by a mix of floral and dry hops with some green grassy notes as well. Malt presence is pretty subdued and of limited interest. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice enough hops profile overall while retaining the drinkability associated with the brand.
