Sweet fruity nose with a hint of sourness. This is a well made and refreshing saison. The Sweet mango leads the taste profile, supported by a dry yeast element, some pepper and very understated bready malt. The hint of sourness in the nose doesn’t survive into the taste. Finishes dry and clean. A very nice taste accomplishment at 4.8% abv

Bottle at Volo.
Hazy golden pour, big white head.
Rght off the bat, there is a big mango aroma, mixed with some grassy hops, and a light pepperiness.
The carb is bang on, and the body is perfect.
The finish is of a medium bitterness with more solid mango, and some pleasant tartness. The pepperiness fades but is still there, its a little thin in the end but still super drinkable.

Bottle: Poured a light yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of tart notes with light mango notes is pleasant. Taste is a nice mix of light mango notes with some tart and sour notes. Body is light with good carbonation. The mango notes could be even more straightforward but nevertheless this is a nice refreshing take on the style.

(On tap @ barVolo, Jan 17 2016) Pale gold with an average white cap and lace. Aroma mango, kiwi, passion fruit, tart notes, leafy, floral perfume, some slight sweet bready malt, hints of banana esters. Flavour is a bit more simple and less bright with mango flesh, banana esters, hay, spicy phenolic peppery notes. Finish is a bit of sweetness to the malt but mostly dry, grain, pepper, light to moderate bitter. Fairly light bodied with slightly above average carb. The fruit really needed to come through more on the palate, but additionally it just outright lacks complexity and heft. Not bad, as a mango fan.

Shared with PaleAleRider at Pub Italia in Ottawa, ON. Written on front label, packaged MAY 23, No. 1295. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a white foamy head, average retention and minimal lacing. Also noticed mild mango pulp after the last pour. Fruity aromas (mango, passion fruit) with some sweet grain malt and peppery yeast. Notes of honey does come out as it warms up. Medium-bodied and wet with a little stickiness and a dry finish. The fruit is much milder in the taste. More Belgian yeast, light hop bitterness, cereal malts with hints of mint. Seems like a nice blend between a witbier and a fruit beer. Quite interesting collaboration with Le Trou du Diable brewery.

Draught @ Trou du Diable. Cloudy and pale, with a hint of mango. Lots of fresh malts, bright mango and maybe some spice but not as much as some of their other beers (TDD, I mean). The mango comes through nicely in the finish.

A hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, pleasant mix of mango pulp and spices, coriander, orange peels, nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet malt with ginger extract, curacao, mango, a bit too sweet. On tap at Arrow and Loon, May 30 2012.
