A very successful but way out there take on the Belgian blonde fruit beer. The nose reveals only some of the elements that dominate the taste profile -- cranberries, malt and a touch of sourness. The taste profile hits you with sourness first, followed by blending elements of tartness, cranberry, a touch of Belgian yeast, a spritz of citrus hops and some residual fruit sweetness. A solid, clean and dry finish ends off a real taste-bud adventure. Well done.

Keg at Brasseur du Temps, Gatineau. Hazy orange/amber, mid sized head. Tart nose with herbal spice and cranberries. Berry tart with medium body and distinct, rounded mouthfeel. Bread and spice, lots of tart cranberries. Mid bitter finish. Tasty and interesting.

Bottle: Poured a light reddish color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of light tart cranberry notes with nice cereal notes. Taste is a mix between some nice cranberry notes, with clean cereal notes and very subtle residual sugar notes. Body is pretty full with good carbonation. Interesting take on the cranberry and more attenuation overall then I am used from this brewer.

Sampled at the brewpub. Pours a slight hazy, light pink-caramel colour with a white-pinky head, average lasting and lacing. Aromas of grassy hops over the mildly sweet fruit and notes of sourness. Nicely balanced taste between the fruitiness, sweetness and sourness. Light taste mouthfeel from the hops, lingering with some decent dryness. A nicely hopped fruit beer.

Very nice. The citrus and cranberry are excellently integrated with floral hops here. A super original beer. Pours cloudy blonde with ok head and lacing. Aroma of citurs, cranberry, Belgian yeast and lots of florals that still come out. Finishes with light sweetness. Great balance. Tap at brewpub.
