Taster at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy, gold colored. AROMA- apple, apricot, flowery, citrusy, meadow, bubble gum. FLAVOR- just slightly sweet, moderately bitter, the same as aroma. Medium bodied. Nice Belgian character. Very tasty.

On tap at BDT, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is gentle, with subdued Belgian yeast and bready malt. Flavour is very similar, with bready malt, some doughy character from the Belgian yeast, and a touch of spiciness. Dry, clean finish with decent permeation of the Belgian yeast. Pleasant.

Keg at Brasseur du Temps, Gatineau. Hazy golden, small head. Hugely aromatic with elderflowers, pears, white currant and citrus. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel. Marzipan, grain and elderflowers grows towards a long bitter finish. Tasty and a tad unusual.

Hazy pale amber pour with a lingering frothy white head. Nose is yeast, pear and pepper with some floral notes. Light honey sweetness supports a medium tartness with a moderate spice. Medium mouth with prickly carbonation and a dry finish. Nice.

Draught @ the brewpub (6 o’clock). Pours hazy straw with small white head. Clear aroma of malt, fruit and flowers, with notes of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of fruit and pepper and malty touches. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Quite refreshing and nice.

This Belgian IPA-style beer is hazy golden with a frothy warm cap, good retention and some bubbly-creamy lace. Fresh hop nose with light citrus, Belgian Ale yeast vanilla and spices. Citrus taste with light grass, slightly metallic, with the yeast in the finish. I guess this use to be a Belgian Blonde, but now says Belgian IPA. Weird how this changed, but the name stayed the same. A nice blend between a Belgian Ale and an IPA.

Carpe Diem is a 6.5% dry hopped belgian style blond ale. It had a great hoppy nose of citrus and spice giving me lemon + peppercorns. The body was a bit rough but the taste was fantastic: earthy lemon, vanilla, pepper & banana bread. Yum.
