Bottle, 0.75l. Aroma is grainy, vinous and citrusy with notes of plums. Pours cloudy dark golden color with thin creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts tart vinous and grainy, following is fruity with notes of plums, pickles and tannins, while mouthfeel is crisp and rather dry. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Plums on parade…

Bottle. Master of Malt. Deep gold. Soft haze. Fine white head. Nose has plum and damson jam. Yoghurt. Fruit loaf. Old oak. Leather. Taste is jammy sweet, with a big hit of tart and leathery bitterness. Clean and fruity tartness on the palate. Very refreshing and bright. Spritzy carbonation. Juicy tart finish. Held up well.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yaron's place. Cloudy yellow. Plum, more stone fruits (peach, apricots), funk, latex note, oak, sour and a bit sweetish. Very nice.

Koriander?) - was mich vom Jubeln abhält.

750 ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden, no head. Aroma is very fruity, mild oak, subtle wheat. Pretty nice nose.
The flavor is fruity with just the right amount of salt and mild tartness. Light body and a crispness. It gets more sour as it warms but more tart than anything.

Draft at Churchkey. Poured a hazy orange color with a small white head. Aroma had a lot of plum that came out. Light herbal notes. Light plum finish. Didnt get a ton of spice from the spice powder, maybe some anise notes. Mellow.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is better than I was expecting and shows they used a somewhat light hand when adding five-spice. Some citrus notes and light plum characteristics. Light anise, clove and cinnamon notes which become more prevalent as the beer warms. Pours a fairly clear, yellow gold with a medium large, thick, pillowy white head that recedes steadily and disappears. No lacing and faint legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with some light citrus and pineapple notes. Hints of grain and a medium light sweetness. Light plum notes with a moderately strong salinity. Light to medium light five-spice notes. Some lingering acidity, plum, citrus and salinity in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, this beer has very much exceeded my expectations. While it might be a bit heavy handed on the salt, the five-spice is a nice, background note. The plum doesn’t come through much though and is hidden by the fruitiness of the base beer.
