Bouteille 33cl, BB 03/2019.

Bottle at home in Hacjney - picked up at Malt Attacks, Brussels. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a big, frothy white head. Citric aroma, some faded pine, dried pale malts. Light sweet flavour, fairly dry, with bitter pine needles, hay, some husky grains, old tangerine peel. Light bodied with active, massaging carbonation. Bitter, lightly astringent finish, with more citric hops, aged pine needles, grass, crispy biscuits. So so overall.

5/VIII/17 - 33cl bottle from the brewery @ home - BB: 1st quarter/V/19 (2017-1176) Thanks to 77ships for the trade!

Clear blond beer, creamy small yellowish head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice tropical fruit aromas, bit sweet, caramel touch, pineapple. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty bitter right from the start, lots of grapefruit, citrus, some lychee, bit grassy. Aftertaste: lots of grapefruit, very bitter, resinous, lovely fruitiness, passion fruits.

About half a litter draft at the brewery. Darker hazy orange, creamy near off-white head. Upfront tropical fruit, hazy mango, peach, stone fruit, lovely upfront, good body overall, finish has some chalky, powdery quality which takes it a bit down, if not for the finish this would have been even better. Very nice stuff overall, BBP seems to be rather improving as of lately.

Easily beats all the session ales from last year's competition… Lovely bitterness!
