This Peppermint Victory at Sea is a festive take on our popular Imperial Porter. We took our trademark robust porter brewed with Caffe Calabria coffee and vanilla and added a dose of refreshing peppermint. The trio of flavors play perfectly on your palate – the brew’s sweet roastiness balances nicely with a cool, minty finish. You might even call it a breath of fresh beer.

Bottle shared at Cotts Convention ii, big thanks to the Cotts Crew, 05/03/16. Black with a decent tan covering. Nose is chocolate, spice, dark malts, subtle peppermint. Taste comprises chocolate mint ice cream, rich malt, After Eight mints, light spice, trace of coffee. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a lick of booze. Solid for a mint porter/stout ... a style that usually underwhelms ... drinks below with ABV.

Tap. Pours dark mahogany, large tan creamy head, great lacing. Aroma is peppermint, cocoa, astray, roasted malt. Flavor is light sweet, full bitter, roasty, acidic, coffee, peppermint notes prominent. Full body. This is fundamentally to bitter and not sweet enough to work properly. Meh.

Draught at Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA
The color is almost black. Solid stout, with evident peppermint character, which highlights the coffee touch.
Not what I like the most, a bit weird, but well done.

Bottle. Cotteridge Beano v2. Dark brown. Good tan head. Peppermint. Mint chocolates. Fresh mint. Soft roast. Comes across a bit artificial. Taste is soft roast. Fairly smooth. Good body. Nice, other than some notes on the aroma.

Bottle thanks to the team at Cotteridge at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, bitter – sweet, chocolate, peppermint cream and After Eight mints. The taste is rich, creamy, bitter – sweet, roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, toast and peppermint cream with a smooth finish. Medium – full bodied with fine carbonation. Flavoursome and well-rounded. Tasty.

22oz bomber pours with a deep dark brown to dark mahogany colored body that supports a tall mocha head. The aroma offers up oily dark roasted coffee, dark roasted malts, some earthy chocolate and a slightly peppery mint sensation at the end of the draw. The taste delivers smooth malt sweet dark roasted coffee, a molasses note and then growing chocolate goodness lined thinly with mint. Nice. It ends smooth with lingering chocolate beckoning for another sip. Solid.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Huge thanks to the Cotteridge Guys for sharing this one! Pours black-brown with a dense, creamy beige head. The nose holds dry chocolate and light peppermint. Medium sweet flavour, lightly roasty, with mint leaves, baking cocoa and scorched earth. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation and smooth texture. Nice finish, with more rich chocolate and lingering cool mint. Good stuff.

Tried at Cotteridge 2. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma choice and mint aroma, not my fav combo. taste has coffee, chic with a light mint finish. Not to minty which is a good thing.
