750ml bottle. Clear, pale reddish amber colour with small, frothy, diminishing, off-white head, a thin layer remains throughout. Tart-ish and sweet-ish, minimally earthy, full-blown raspberry aroma, hints of rose hip. Taste is moderately tart, tangy, remnant sweetness, notes of raspberry, hints of rose hip. a spicy touch of vinegar and mustard, tarragon; minimally acrid tartness, soft carbonation. Very balanced and harmonious.

Fresh and sourish-grainy beginning. Nice fruity sour. Great Raspberry-aroma. Very fruity and mild. The berries are very fresh and sour, the beer basis is in the background, refreshing! Fascinating fruity and long-lasting aftertaste! Great refreshing and deep stuff!

Intensiv fruchtiger Geruch mit der passenden Fruchtnote. Keine Karbonisierung. 9/13/12/12/11/12

Sampled at RBBWG16 . Thnx for sharing ! Pours amber-pink, no real head. Smell is pure raspberry. Taste is raspberry-jam , sweet-sour balance is 100% , and purely natural from what you get from the actual fruits. Light carbo, the way I like it. Good MF , great beer !

Bottle sample @ RBBWG 2016, thanks Jan. Anny 2014, BB 2020.

0.75 l bottle from ’Bier.de’ at RBBWG 2016 in Antwerpen. Slightly hazy, reddish amber, white lacings. Sweetish, sourish-fruity aroma of red wine, vanilla, honey and raspberry syrup. Sweetish-sourish, fruity taste of raspberry, red wine, almond and honey, followed by a short, moderately tart finish. Thin to medium body, slightly oily, spritzy mouthfeel. Sweeter than expected with the barrel clearly detectable. Very nice!

Thank you for sharing Zlotta! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG V. 2014 Vintage. Gorgeous pink bottle wrapped in paper. Apparently this one carries the insane price tag of € 30. They probably tried to justify it with the lovely bottle which you cannot even see when buying unless if you unwrap it. I keep hearing that the price-point of any less common beer style produced by a German brewery in Germany is insane to say the least. Pours a distinct pink with a dash of amber, some pink bubbles. Nose is massive raspberry in a jam-like fashion, white sugar sweetness, there is low lemon-like sourness but only in the distant background. Taste is basic white sugar raspberry jam sweetness in the front, sweetened pureed raspberry, sweet upfront but gets distinctly more sour towards the finish, sourness is basic lemon juice, puckering,… Not really getting the wine barrel. Little complexity which is def. not a requirement for a Berliner Weisse, it is nice, simple & enjoyable. As for the price point … I didn’t pay for it & I wouldn’t.
