The traditional sour beer uses the wild yeast found around the farm. This gives the beer a soft, refreshing sour taste. After a year of aging on a barrel this beer is ready for consumption. Each batch of Zure van Tildonk is carefully aged in our cellars at the Engelburcht Monastery for several months prior to release.

(Bottle) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of lemon peel, grapefruit, unripe green grapes, gooseberries and hints of oak wood. Fruity, tart taste with grapefruit, lemon, green grapes, gooseberries, oak wood, barnyard and stable. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty, with a refreshing acidity. Leaning in the lambic direction. Nice one.

MAny thanks for this sour beer to Eric De Geyter. taste in Lindemans Gueuze glass. My version is: Zure Blond & Zuur. Mocno ukwaszone jak kapusta kiszona na wsi. Metne i brudne, musujacy efekt przy otwarciu, ale piana szybko sie wyzerowala do minimalnej. Kwaskowe lekko octowe nawet. Zbyt w jednym klimacie, no i dla nowicjuszy moze byc zbyt exremalne. mi to pasuje.

Clear golden colour, white head. Fruity aroma, light yoghurt, apricot. Light sweet malty flavour, quite sour. Fruity finish, apricot.

Tap at Before 9. Lemony, acetic nose. Golden, slightly hazy, low head. Rather tart, lemony, some vinegar and bretty barnyard. Tasty but a bit simple. Still, nice enough. Earlier Rating: 5/27/2017 Total Score: 3.7Tap at Takanoya. PRetty gold color, cloudy, with lace. Nose is leather, grapefruit, horse blanket, apricot, oranges, a bit of vinegar. Nicely tart flavor, good balance and complexity with a lambic slant to it.
