25cl bottle from Beer Planet. Reddish-brown pour with a beige head which soon vanishes. Very nice sweet/sour aromas of licorice, oak, prunes, figs. Flavours of dried fruit, cherries, raisins, licorice, figs, dates. Nice sweet/sour balance. Dry finish with the aforementioned sweet/sour mix. Very pleasant.

Bottle, 150cl corked, at RBNAG -09, courtesy of geokkjer. It pours an unclear, orange-brown body, topped by a beige head. Well carbonated, the cork hit the quite high ceiling when popped. Cellar, sourness and dried fruits well integrated in the aroma. There’s some acidity in the flavor, with dried fruits, some cellar and hints of barnyard. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A really pleasant and easy drinkable beer. 091107

1,5 liter magnum bottle, 2004 vintage sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Hazy reddish orange with some floaters and a dense beige head. Lovely complex aroma with cellar notes, mould, overripe apples, yeast, caramel and some acid. Flavor is complex as well, fruity acidity, overripe fruit, sweet caramel malt, light grapefruit and cellar notes. Delicious and quite quaffable actually.

Bottle: Clear, ruby-amber coloured, quite stable beige head, visible carbonation; a faint touch of balsamico in the sweetish-sourish and caramelly nose; sweet and sour flavour, light bodied; sweet caramalt and a kind of very old vinegar in the short finish. A bit on the sweet side, but all in all pleasant.........
