Aus der Flasche (bottled 05.02.2020 - bbe 05.02.2025) im 2025-04 getrunken. Die Kombination wo süße, malzige Barley Aromen mit leichte Säure auf die Frucht und Säure von dunklen Beeren trifft ist hier einfach genial. Die Frucht nimmt diesen Ale auch die Schwere des hohen Alkoholgehalt. Traumstoff!

On tap at Borefts 2022. Turbid muddy brown colour thin beige head. sweet aroma. sweet in mouth. just a bit too intense.

Sampled @ Borefts Bier Festival 2022. A slightly hazy orange brown beer. Aroma of bourbon, wood, riped red fruits. Taste of sweet overriped fruits, resins, wood.

The board just said "BA barley wine", so I was quite surprised by the fruity vinousness of this. Brett, fruityness which turns out to be blackberry, and wood. There's a buttery thing present that I don't like tho.

Tap. Hazy brown-orange color with no head. Aroma is raisins, blackberries indeed, quite nectary, orange juice. Taste is the same, sweet and a bit boozy, but not too much, not too tart either, it appears the bretts haven't kicked in yet. Thick mouthfeel, low carbonation. Interesting.

Borefts XII. Day 1. Very hazy brown amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Smooth malts, thinnish but plenty of cream and caramel. Good fruity bourbon, slightly spicy. The blackberry adds another dimension. Dry spicy fruity bourbon finish. Very tasty.

Cloudy muddy brown beer, no head. Aroma: malty, grains, hay, some caramel, dried fruits, a little oxidized, some green apples. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet, sourish as well, a bit infected maybe? Dried fruits, fruity, weird. Aftertaste: bitter tannins, fruity notes, some apples, unpleasant acidity, don’t like it very much. I never guessed this was supposed to taste like blackberries...

Säuerlicher, deutlich getreidiger Beginn. Dunkle Malzigkeit, cremig, süß-sauer. Würzig, alkoholisch, intensiv holzig. Langer Abgang. 6/11/12/11//11

Bottle. Pours reddish brown with almost no head. Aroma is red fruits, blackberries, Brett. Medium body. Flavour is sweet, very fruity, rather rich. Lots of blackberries. Some bourbon and especially oak in the background, some vanilla. Some acidity but very well balanced by sweetness. Finish is sweet and sour, fruity. Super nice fruit beer in my opinion, very nicely done. Something different and delicious.
