Thanks. 375 ml. bottle sampled @ “Poppyland Sucks Tasting” @ the Barely legal tasting room. All 5 Poppyland beers that we tried had notes of smoke, medicinal fare etc. I figured that they are infections and all 5 tasted awful, this one uses specifically the word smoke on the label, seems to me that they clearly know that there is something wrong with their beers. Once again this one is gluten free. Hazy golden with a creamy white head. Nose is smoky & medicinal with some sweetness, sugar and hay underneath. Tastes smoky, ether, disinfectant, bitter hay in the finish, herbs and touch lactic fruits. Fizzy, tastes pretty much the same as the dry-hopped saison that we tried after this one which should be another sign that this isn’t alright.

Hazy deep amber - brown beer, decent pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and slightly dry. Unusual beer! Starts with a minty medicinal vibe. Then light floralness and a touch of.spice. Smooth dry finish, mild bitter linger.

Bottle from the brewery. Just about clear, copper colour. Thick, tight, lasting, white head. Well done, white loaf crust. Some fauna. Hint of white wine vinegar. Just a hint, mind, and a very light, smoky, herb character. Taste is light, sharp, dryness. Yeasty, fustiness on the finish. Very good.

375ml bottle from Beautiful Beers. Hazy deep gold amber colour, foam white head leaving alittle lacing and sour lemony fragrant aroma with a hint of smoke. Taste is smokey with lemony yeast, herby, sour and light bitterness. Slightly oily mouthfeel, light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, very dry peaty finish. Interesting saison, quite refreshing.
