BD 28022020. Very dark brownish black, small brown head. Smells roasty, light smoke, something tart fruity. Good body, smooth. Taste has a lovely rich smokeyness to it at first, subtle herbal juniper kick and hint of tart berry. Excellent balance, fun. Includes a bit of bonus for being unique, different, yet also remarkebly balanced and restrained.

Tap, Sir William's Ljubljana. Pitch black, medium beige head, medium lasting. Sweet dessert nose, biscuits, chocolate with peanutbutter feeling, slightly roasted. Nice. Sweet, syrupy, lots of dry fruits, some berries. Slightly roasted in the finish. Fuller body and silky. Lovely.

bottiglia 33 cl, schiuma cappuccino quasi assente, colore marrone intenso/nero, al naso cacao caffè caramello liquirizia e VOV, in bocca è piena setosa liquorosa spicca subito il ginepro le bacche la resina poi caffè caramello cioccolato fondente frutta secca liquirizia malto tostato, corpo strutturato, alcool e IBU ben bilanciati, carbonazione piatta, dolce con amaro accentuato lungo nel finale. Un’Imperial Stout particolare e complessa, apprezzabile l'idea di aggiungere le bacche. Molto buona c. Fatti una birra 13.11.21

Backlog October 2020. Black body under a small but good looking, dense beige head. Strong aroma of dark malt, smoke and forest. Taste is sweet malty, smoke, juniper, damp forest and alcohol. Medium body and same aftertaste. God looking, exiting aroma and promising in taste, but somehow something feels not quite right after passing the point of some small sips. Can’t really put my finger on it, but somewhere between the sweetness, the smoke and the forest it feels unbalanced and a bit harsh.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with some black cholate notes with some juniper notes clearly noticeable. Taste is also a mix of roasted malt with some black cholate notes with some residual sugar notes and juniper notes with light berry notes. Body is full with good carbonation. Nice mix of flavour and complexity.

Pours black, small tanned head. Scent is roasty, intense, medium intense smoke. Dark chocolate. Taste is full, roasty, tad acidity by the berries. Medium intense to intense smoke, that works well with the roast level (dark chocolate ). Fullbodied, medium carbo. Well made, but not my personal preference.

Bottle via Pivny raj. Med-full body, rather low carbonation. Very intense, lots of chocolate, cocoa, light deep roast. High sweetness, light bitterness, no astringency. Medium juniper and slightly tart berry character. Rather interesting, than delicious, but good nevertheless.

Virtually black with a creamy, light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, pine needles, ink. Something also that I assume are the rowan berries. Taste is sweet with a mix of molasses and juniper. Rich and rewarding. Tartness picks up at the end. Full-bodied, moderate to mild carbonation. A good one.
