Typical Wallonian amber beer with thick, moussy, yellowish white head and clear amber colour becoming hazy after adding the deposit. Nutty and caramelly malts in the nose, floral, spicy, honey, melon, apple, grapefruit, lemon peel, banana, sweet white wine, freshly baked bread, cloves. Dryishly fruity taste, fresh and smooth, light maltiness, nutty and a bit sweet, medium carbo, dry finish with quite long, herbal hop bitterness. Enjoyable.

33 cl. bottle @ Bier Circus // pissed-off waiter for the umpteenth time ordering this // I initially ordered this as the first beer from the draft menu but he told me that they didn’t have it anymore on draft, only in bottles // since I wanted a draft beer as my first one, I picked something else & I was still interested in trying // asked again latter & pissed him off because he went all about how he already had told me that they don’t have it on draft // I know, I still want a bottle // loved that guy (I am not being sarcastic here), he seemed to have this awesome hatred for serving people like us from his point of view who didn’t know enough about beer to be even in his bar // he seemed to hate the whole thing of bringing us beer, he got mad when someone asked what snacks he has or when we didn’t instantly order after we had to find him & force him to come // 2 Indians visiting the country for the first time may not be sure what to pick from 300 Belgian beers // so what if they like Faro Lindemans or honey beers, I like them to & they are used to drinking Kingfisher in India & almost everything beats Kingfisher, I think, it is not they wanted pale lagers // this is not a complained & I was quite amused by him which in turn probably pissed him off even more because I was really not apologetic :) // you don’t need to be an expert like him in order to like beer, that is what makes it interesting // I am not cool for not being enough educated like him // + faro is like the most typical Brussels beer imaginable // this beer itself, I quite liked it // darkish hazy caramel amber, stable white head // bready, fruity, caramel, lightly earthly, dash fruitier hops way more than typical EU hops would give you actually, earthly oranges, light touch of citrus, medium sweet & touch honey // silk & smooth, neat
