Honey blonde color, cloudy. Honey and lemon in the aroma. Citric flavor with coreander and traces of honey. Fairly dry, well attenuated. Prickly mouthfeel. Just a bit thin, but with a fruity aftertaste. Pleasant beer with enough bite.

@ Wieze Beerfestival 2017. Pours clear blonde. not much head. Smell is rather weak. Taste is full, bit bitter. Rather sweet. No recognizable honey taste to me.

Honey beer since 2006, commercialized through the Proef for a hobby brewer in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. Thin but stable, cream white head, warm yellow blonde colour, cloudy with deposit. Elegant aroma, clear fresh honey, vanilla, apple, pineapple, floral hops; smooth and soft palate, bit creamy, light, honeyish on a sweetish malt base, light hops in the finish. I recently heard this has been discontinued meanwhile (?).

Bottle @ home thanks to Countbeer. Clear honey golden color, virtually no head (bottle was opened a day before). Smell and taste malts, honey, a bit sweetish and somehow a touch of caramel or candi sugar. Average body and carbonation. Way better than expected when I saw it was a honey-beer.

Clear orange beer, huge irregular aery fizzy head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of orange peel, pretty soapy, very sugary, bit dusty, hint of citrus. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and very sugary start, some honey, orange peel, more sugary, bit soapy. Aftertaste: unpleasant soapy bitterness, bit chemical, honey touch but not sweet any more. This must be my first De Proef gusher ever, I guess?

33 cl. bottle sample @ Brugs Bier Festival 2013. Very pale golden with a white head. Smell is sweet BE yeast, almost vegetable touch, spices, very light fruits,… Taste is sweet BE yeast, sugar, light honey sweetness, spices, light vegetable hint, sweet malt. Medium bodied, it passes.

Sample @ Brugge Bierfest ’13. Dorée claire, col beige. Arôme est houblonné, léger le tout gardant un bouquet malté plus en avant avec une pointe biologique mielleuse en rétro-nasal. Palais est léger et houblonné, pointe de malt caramel, léger touche d’épice et une fine douceur du miel. On reste dans le style très belge avec ici cet ajout de miel et coriandre qui aident cette dernière à sortir de l’ennui.

Bottle 33cl. @ [ Fastelavns Tasting Ulfborg ].Clear light to medium yellow orange color, small size body particles, with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, sweet malt or honey, light yeasty, honey notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090221]
