(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 23 Oct 2013) Hazy golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of grainy malt, bread, grass and hints of lime. Malty, fruity taste with bread, chewy malt, peaches, grassy hops, hints of soap and fairly sweet hints of washing-up liquid. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh hop character, but possibly a touch too sweet. Still, quite nice.

Bottle picked up in June 2013 from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at home Thursday 10th October 2013 Hazy gold/orange with white head a little sediment in suspension. A little pilsner/lagery on nose but as Loz points out it also smells and tastes very shandy like, it does, it really does taste like a tin of shandy bass. Touch of yeastiness. Tangy a little dry nice but not as we expected. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bouteille 33cl, BB 26-9-2014.

Sampled draft @ Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Tasted all 5 variations alongside. All 5 hop varietals were completely new to me. Looks the same as the other hazy bright peach golden orange with a creamy white head. Smell is mellower than the others creamy with exotic fruits and mango + peach juice. Taste is mellower and more restraints than the others still quite fruity with mango and peach with light citrus juice but still quite restraint some spices. This one actually reveals the malt backbone and has some almost wheat-like flourishes. Carb. is a touch lighter than say Aurora. Weakest hop variatel it seems out of the 5 and probably the weakest one of the bunch but still very good.

Part of a 5-set uniform tasting, recorded Disappearing yellowish, medium head, hazy yellow-orange beer. Whiff of chlorine (volatile), swimming pool water, spices, garden herbs. Nowhere hoppy, initially. Sweetish-spiced, and herbal. Good balance, but again giving the impression of being under-hopped. Creamier than other versions, slightly less refreshing, lightly slick. Balance is quite succesfull, but one more to the detriment of excitement.
