33 cl. fles geproefd dankzij Kraddel.

another i-bought-it-so-i-HAVE-to-drink-it bottle that was waiting for a kamikaze-moment , wich was there, yesterday. as expected, blonde, white foam, no smell, no uniqueness, nothing. just plain sugar, high carbo, bad meciocer belgian blonde taste.. sigh... would throw them all out if there were no possibilities in being surprises 1 % of the time but this is just awfull ...

Squat 33cl brown bottle, best before 29th Oct 09, drank late May 09. Poured into a Westmalle chalice, with the sediment going into a J&B Whisky glass. Looked like a lager really, golden and with a well formed white head. It was clear because of the double pour, the sediment was murky and was a great afterdrink. Sweet and yeasty aroma, straw, cerels and tinny, not very nice. Metalic nasty flavour. Another Du Bocq designer beer, this brewery could produce (and does) some good beers, but they play around and push out anything they think will sell. Hiding the breweries name on the rear label annoys me too! No wonder I end up coming home with some of their beers, they flood the market and I keep missing who the brewery is.

33cl bottle.

Bottle @ home. Clear at first, cloudy after pouring in everything. Yellow / golden color, big creamy, mostly lasting white head. Smell lightly malts, a lot of lemon / citrus for a blond beer. Very fruity taste as well, again lots of lime / lemon and very fresh. Nice carbonation that suits the beer, medium body.

Bottled(330ml). -Light hazy golden coloured, huge white head, grassy spicy nose. Sweet malty, grassy and spicy taste with notes of orange, yeast and coriander. One-dimensional brew and to be honest I’ve expected much more.

Bottle from La Soif du Malt. Amber gold color with a frothy five finger whiteish head. Aroma is malt and coriander. Near medium body with lots of carbonation. Flavor is caramel, coriander and yeast. Finishes not quite dry. It’s a good drinker.
