Dry-hopped Weizen Bock-style wheat beer, the Dolden Bock is orange-colored with creamy foam. The aromas are sweet, ripe fruit (banana) and yeast. On the palate the scents are well balanced between the fruity notes and the more floral and herbaceous notes given by hops.

0.33 l bottle from ’Biermuda’, best before December 2016. Murky, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, quite fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of melon, pear, peach, banana, vanilla and clove. Sweetish-malty, yeasty-spicy and fruity taste of melon, pear, peach, banana and clove, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, yeasty-spicy and rather alcoholic, slightly peppery finish. Medium to full body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice one, I like the fruitiness, but the alcohol is too present and makes it a bit unpleasant to drink.

330 ml. bottle @ Café Brecht in Amsterdam. BBF 30.12.16. Super murky orange with little head. Nose is murky rain water, watery orange peel & wet grass plus some hay. Taste is moldy orange peel, watery, wet hay some DE fish guts yeast, moldy water, light grass. Body is wet grain & quite watery – shockingly so for a 7.9 % ABV beer. I was hoping for more.

Bottle. Murky orange color with small head. Aroma is full of cloves (christmas), some fresh hops (saphir?). Taste is more cloves, more christmas, and a hoppy finish. Weizen texture. Interesting, but the first time that a Weizen actually tastes of pure cloves for me.

0,33 l bottle. Very murky flat orange, small head. Nearly like a pale ale on the nose. Taste starts shortly hopy, then a more peach sequence. Dry wheat basis. Some licorice and sweet fruit in the background. Wheat aftertaste. Hidden alcohol, so it´s nearly easy to drink. Be careful!

Rerate from bottle. Pleasant fruity fermented aroma. Somewhat cheesy hops still, but ok. Seems cleaner now. 5 2 7 4 10Passion fruit, esters clay aroma. Milky orange, offwhite head. Medium full body, creamy mouthfeel. Raisins retronasal. Fruit salad finish. I dig the flavor, but the rest is a mess.

Hazy golden with little white head. Aroma of floral hops, herbs, canned peach and melon. Taste is sweet but not too much. Fresh sourness. Long bitter sour finish. Reminds in total more of an ipa than a weizen bock. But also a very good one. Overall really nice.

(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, murky golden colour with a loose mid-sized off-white foamy head. Herbal, slightly resiny and fruity hoppy aroma with a moderate wheat character, including notes of apricots, citrus and banana, accompanied by hints of caramel, as well as phenolic and yeasty spices. Moderately sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with an almost creamy carbonation. Mildly wheaty taste with notes of banana, a whiff of cara-malt, backed by a rounded touch of herbal and delicately resiny hops; fairly lasting and rounded sweet malty and slightly hop bitter finish with a well-embedded alcoholic strength. Good. 03.V.16
